by I remember watching a tv show produced about the training at the college, it was appropriately called police college and aired around the end of 2006. Iam wondering if it's availible on dvd or to watch on the internet?

It's not true to reality. Very sensationalised. As long as you take it with a grain of salt, it's entertaining enough.

I got them free from the Police College last year, sent some blank DVDs to the media liaison person down there with a polite letter and got the series sent back to me. Not sure if they are still doing that. It is sensationalised but still a good watch to see what happens during the course.

That's what I did too, they told me that they are happy to send them out as long as you provide the blank DVDs and a paid, addressed return envelope.

Yes, that's right, Katrina. She is in the college reception block office. Take in (if local) or send in DVD-R discs with a paid return post packet and you will get the 3 disc series in return.
