Can anyone offer any information on the Auckland PAT situation? My initial app is in after doing the webinar and online tests, but I think I've missed out on some good info, and meeting key people, by not going to a face-to-face seminar.

I'm keen on finding out about run routes, practice PATs, training groups ... anything that can help me better visualise the task ahead. I think I'm pretty good on the academic side, and I'm working hard on my physical.

And do you think it would be a good idea to go in and have a face-to-face with recruitment?

I'm don't know any Auckland PAT info, but its definitely a good idea to call the station where you sent the application to and find out who the recruitment officer is then arrange a time to meet and ask your questions - possibly might be easier to book for a seminar if theres any available.

Don't quote me on this, but I think in Auckland they do the run around a track. 6 laps of 400m.

The P.A.T runs were held at Alexandra racecourse. Campbell Cres end,were the horse stables are.
Day and time, every Sat morning. I think it started at 8.30am.Be there no later than 8.15
Circuit, 4 x 600m laps.
The PEO's will be there to answer any questions that you may have and assist you in any technique issues.
