Trans-tasman Police cars 2010 Kumeu Classic car

Post by NZPolice_history on Mon Jan 18, 2010 8:25 pm

Thought I'd drop in a couple pic's from the Kumeu Classic Car & Hot Rod Festival, I ran into a friend who has build up a Australian Holden Commodore VL Police car.

Ah I'm not sure. I know he's done a few weddings in them. He's got the LAPD uniforms and everything.

There's also a genuine ex-CHP motorbike hanging around in the storage shed at our station. I think it's a Kawasaki, but can't remember.

One of the guys from SCU has a fire truck living at the station that's been rekitted to look like a SWAT truck, he's using it for the Variety Club Bash. Very cool!

Is that the Kawasaki CHP bike that used to be at the Traffic College?

Does anyone know why the red and blues are on opposites sides on the American cop cars?

Is it maybe because they drive on the other side of the road, and the blue is hard to see in daylight?

Easiest way is to upload it to your personal gallery then copy and paste the URL into your post... PM me if you need it in more detail!

Nope just used the right URL! Wink

If you go to your personal album there will be URLs under the pictures which you can copy and paste into a post to add either the full sized pic or a thumbnail:

I think you used the URL of the page that the image is hosted on.

And there endith the lesson.

Do you have contact details for the owner of that car snake?

Would be great to see it at our brigade centennial parade!
